Metairie family seeks damages for sewage back up

GRETNA – A family claims their home was destroyed when sewage backed up inside.

Terri Savage and Randy Rudolph filed a suit Dec. 18 against Jefferson Parish through its president, Michael Yenni, the Jefferson Parish Sewage and Water Board, Cannon Cochran Management Services Inc., and Moulton Adjusting Co. LLC in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging negligence.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place in December 2016. The suit states the plaintiff is the owner of the property at 4817 Bissonet Drive in Metairie. The plaintiff's home was damaged when sewage backed up in their home causing substantial damages to the home and distress to the family.

The defendant is accused of negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Brian Sondes in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division J Judge Stephen C. Grefer.
