Plaintiff claims car's damage should have been covered by warranty

GRETNA – A woman is seeking over $7,000, claiming that her car's damages should have been covered by warranty.

Emilda Miron Bermudez filed a suit Dec. 22 against International Trucks of Houston and Gateway Management Services Ltd. in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging breach of contract.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on July 14, 2015. The suit states the defendant gave the plaintiff a quote for the repairs necessary in the balance of $7,133.21. The suit states the vehicle should have been under warranty when it was damaged, but the defendant has failed to refund the plaintiff for the damages.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by C. Michael Winters in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division F Judge Michael Mentz.
