Woman's fall in Arnaud's Restaurant leads to lawsuit

NEW ORLEANS – A woman claims in a lawsuit filed Dec. 19 that she was caused to slip and fall in a restaurant.

Marcela Miller filed a lawsuit against Arnaud's Restaurant Inc. and Houston Specialty Insurance Co. in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging negligence. 

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place Dec. 22, 2016. The suit states the defendant was negligent through failing to clean up the premises; and through failure to do so, the plaintiff was caused to slip and fall, causing physical damages.

The defendant is accused of negligence.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Harold L. Ehrenberg in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division F Judge Christopher Bruno.

The Orleans Parish Civil District Court Case No. is 2017-12167.
