Woman seeks damages for fall in Piccadilly restaurant

GRETNA – A woman is seeking damages, claiming that she was injured in a restaurant.

Barbara Lackey filed a suit Jan. 5 against Piccadilly Restaurants LLC and ABC Insurance Co. in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging negligence.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on Jan. 6, 2017. The suit states the plaintiff was at the Piccadilly's on Lapalco Boulevard when she was caused to fall due to a dangerous condition which the floors were in.

The defendant is accused of negligence through failing to warn of the danger or clean up the mess.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Nelson Mayer II of Valteau, Harris, Koenig & Mayer.

The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Nancy Miller.
