Woman claims she was caused to slip and fall in casino bathroom

GRETNA – A woman was caused to slip and strike her head in a bathroom.

Cassandra S. Aisola, wife of Yancey M. Aisola Sr., filed a suit Jan. 10 against Treasure Chest Casino LLC in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging negligence.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place Jan. 20, 2017. The suit states the plaintiff was at Treasure Chest Casino LLC in Jefferson Parish when she was caused to slip and fall in a bathroom stall, striking her head on the stall door.

The defendant is accused of negligence through failing to warn of the danger and failing to clean the bathroom floor correctly.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Larry M. Aisola Jr. in Chalmette.

The case has been assigned to Division C Judge June Berry Darensburg.
