Woman says she was struck by driver employed by school district

GRETNA – A woman claims her car was struck by a driver for the Jefferson Parish School Board.

Yolanda Taylor filed a suit Jan. 11 against Ace American Insurance Co., Jefferson Parish School Board and Toshiba Brown in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging negligence.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on Jan. 19, 2017. The plaintiff claims her car was struck by the defendant who was driving in her scope of employment for the Jefferson Parish School Board.

The defendant is accused of negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Anthony D. Irpino of Irpino, Avin & Hawkins in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division J Judge Stephen Grefer.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case No. is 779511.
