Man claims injury at sea was due to negligence

GRETNA – A man claims he was injured on a sea vessel.

John Maldonado filed a suit Jan. 12 against Marquette Transportation Co. LLC, Marquette Transportation Co. Gulf-Inland LLC in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging negligence.

According to the claim, the plaintiff was on a vessel operated by the defendant in which the defendant was negligent in controlling the vessel and failed to provide adequate safety equipment, resulting in injuries to the plaintiff.

The defendant is accused of negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by S. Patrick Skiles of Ramsey, Skiles & Streva in Morgan City.

The case has been assigned to Division H Judge Glenn Ansardi.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case No. is 779544.
