Auto lease trust claims customer breached contract

NEW ORLEANS – A trust is seeking damages for a breach of contract.

Toyota Lease Trust filed a lawsuit Jan. 11 against Keyerra T. and Viola M. Janeau in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place March 21, 2015. The suit states the defendant entered into a lease agreement for the purchase of a vehicle and then breached the contract through failing to settle all of the payments which she had agreed to.

The defendant is accused of negligence and breach of contract through failing to fulfill her duty.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Zelma M. Frederick of McGlinchey Stafford PLLC in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Paulette Irons.

The Orleans Parish Civil District Court Case No. is 2018-349.
