NEW ORLEANS – A woman claims that she was caused to slip and fall in a Winn-Dixie.

Fredette Phillips (Johnson) and Roland Johnson filed a lawsuit Jan. 4 against Winn-Dixie Stores Inc. and /or Winn-Dixie Montgomery LLC in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on Sept. 9, 2017. The suit states that the plaintiff was at the Winn-Dixie at 9701 Chef Menteur Highway in New Orleans when she was caused to slip and fall on some grapes that had been left on the ground.

The defendant is accused of negligence.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Allan Berger of Allan Berger & Associates PLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division G Judge Robin Giarusso.

The Orleans Parish Civil District Court Case No. is 2018-87.
