NEW ORLEANS – A woman claims that she loaned money to a man who has never paid her back.
Deirdre Doucette filed a lawsuit on Nov. 8 against Leon Miller in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging breach of contract and negligence
According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on May 9, 2017 when the plaintiff entered into an agreement with the defendant. The suit states that the plaintiff loaned $23,750 to the defendant and was expecting to be paid back by the 8th of each month in installments of $1,007. The defendant allegedly has failed to make any payments to the plaintiff.
The defendant is accused of breach of contract.
The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Max M. Chotto in Gretna.
The case has been assigned to Division A Judge Henry Julien Jr.
