Mirus New Orleans accused of not paying construction crew

NEW ORLEANS – A construction company claims that it is owed more than $200,000 for work competed.

Broadmoor LLC filed a lawsuit on Dec. 29 against Mirus New Orleans LLC in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for work that took place in 2016 when the defendant entered into a construction agreement with the plaintiff for the completion of improvements. The suit states that the defendant has breached contract by failing to pay the plaintiff the balance of $213,541.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Michael R. C. Riess of Kingsmill Riess LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division E Judge Clare Jupiter.
