Construction company seeks damages for alleged breach of contract

NEW ORLEANS – A construction company claiming breach of contract is seeking damages.

Leigh of All Trades LLC, dba By Land or Sea Construction LLC, filed a lawsuit Dec. 20 against Non-Flood Protection Assets Management Authority, Construction Management Enterprises LLC, and Hudson Insurance Co. in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the defendant entered into an agreement with the plaintiff for the completion of specific work for the demolition of boathouses. The suit states the plaintiff completed the work required but that the defendant has never made full payments to the plaintiff for the work done. 

The defendant is accused of breach of contract.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Daniel A. Ranson of Gaudry, Ranson, Higgins & Gremillion LLC in Gretna.

The case has been assigned to Division N Judge Ethel Julien.

The Orleans Parish Civil District Court Case No. is 2017-12188.
