GRETNA –A woman is seeking damages after she allegedly slipped and fell inside of the Louis Armstrong International Airport.
Manya Smith filed a suit on Jan. 22 against the City of New Orleans, acting by and through the New Orleans Aviation Board, New Orleans Aviation Board, Metro Service Group Inc. and Delaware North Companies Travel Hospitality Services Inc., doing business as Elite 985 Bar, in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging negligence.
According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on March 6, 2017. The suit states that the plaintiff was walking at the Louis Armstrong International Airport when she was caused to slip and fall on liquid leaking from the Elite 985 Bar.
The defendant is accused of negligence.
The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Bryan K. Jefferson of Foley, Lamy and Jefferson in New Orleans.
The case has been assigned to Division B Judge Cornelius E. Regan.
