Justus Jagger accused of breach of contract

NEW ORLEANS – A property company and owners are seeking damages, claiming that it was never paid for a lease that was canceled early.

J&R Rental Properties LLC, Half James Properties LLC, Michelle Cahn Wolfson Trust, Richard M. Cahn Trust and James Lenard Cahn Trust filed a lawsuit on Jan. 22 against Justus Jagger in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs entered into a 10-year lease with the agreement of the defendant. The defendant decided to cancel the lease three years into the contracted. The plaintiffs were owed $48,352.27 by the defendant due to the cancellation of the lease, but allegedly were never paid.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Michael A. Mahone Jr. of The Mahone Firm LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division L Judge Kern A. Reese.
