Lawsuit states LA Capitol Credit Union is owed more than $24,000

GRETNA – A credit union is seeking damages for sums due.

LA Capitol Federal Credit Union filed a suit Jan. 8 against James Brian Roberts in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging sums due.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an open account, claiming that the defendant has failed to pay for the balance of $24,117.34 plus 4.99 percent interest.

The defendant is accused of sums due.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Richard Crawford of Newman, Mathis, Brady & Spedale in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division D Judge Scott Schlegel.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case No. is 779421.
