AT&T seeks compensation for underground wire damage

GRETNA – AT&T claims it was damaged by an underground drilling company.

Bellsouth Telecommunications LLC, dba AT&T Louisiana, filed a suit Feb. 5 against Chase Harris Inc. and Alpha Boring Co. LLC in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging negligence.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place Sept. 21, 2017 when the defendant failed to check for underground wires before they drilled, causing damages to the plaintiff's property.

The defendant is accused of negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Michael Alker of Sutton, Alker & Rather LLC in Mandeville.

The case has been assigned to Division G Judge E. Adrian Adams.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case No. is 780333.
