Bobby Hebert's Cajun Cannon Restaurant patron alleges sign injured legs

GRETNA – A woman alleges she was injured while exiting a restaurant because of a sign.

Nicole Fauria filed a suit Feb. 9 against Bobby Hebert's Cajun Cannon Restaurant, Cajun Vets LLC, ABC Insurance Company, 4101 Vets LLC and XYZ Insurance Company in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging negligence.

According to the claim, the plaintiff was a customer of Bobby Hebert's Cajun Cannon Restaurant on Feb. 14, 2017. She alleges as she was exiting the restaurant, a metal sign fell and struck the back of her legs. She alleges the incident caused pain and a hematoma on her legs.

The defendant is alleged to have failed to provide a safe environment.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Harold L. Ehrenberg in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division C Judge June Berry Darensburg.
