GRETNA – A woman is seeking damages from a Metairie restaurant after falling there.
Francia Ferrera filed a suit Feb. 12 against Beraca LLC in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging negligence.
According to the claim, the plaintiff was at the defendant's Beraca's Restaurant at 3116 N. Arnoult Road in Metairie on Feb. 12, 2017. The suit states that the plaintiff was caused to slip and fall when she encountered a puddle of liquid on the ground.
The plaintiff alleges the defendant negligently and carelessly failed to maintain the area and failed to remove hazards.
The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Ivan A. Orihuela of Riguer Silva LLC in Kenner.
The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Nancy A. Miller.
