Plaintiff seeks damages from fall at casino

GRETNA – A woman claims that she was caused to trip and fall in a casino.

Judy Brown and Welton Brown filed a suit Feb. 14 against Louisiana-I Gaming, A Louisiana Partnership in Commendam, dba Boomtown Belle Casino New Orleans, in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging negligence.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on March 31, 2017 when the plaintiff was caused to trip and fall at the Bayou Market Buffet in the defendant's property.

The defendant is accused of negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by J. Bart Kelly of Alvendia, Kelly & Demarest LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division F Judge Michael Mentz.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case No. is 780594.
