Construction worker accused of dropping load of asphalt on car

NEW ORLEANS – An employee of a construction company allegedly dropped hot asphalt on a car.

Oliver Capers filed a lawsuit Feb. 5 against Boh Bros Co LLC, David Dauterive and Illinois National Insurance Company in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for injuries claiming that the defendant, who was operating a construction vehicle at the time, dropped a load of hot asphalt on the car in which the plaintiff was a guest in.

The defendant is accused of negligence.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Pete Lewis of Lewis & Caplan in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division C Judge Sidney H. Cates IV.
