GRETNA – A funding company is seeking damages from two Orleans Parish companies for alleged breach of contract.
Leaf Capital Funding LLC filed a suit on Feb. 21 against Diversified Construction Inc. and Kajun Kettle Foods in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging breach of contract.
According to the claim, the plaintiff loaned $115,186.18 to Kajun Kettle so the company could purchase equipment from Diversified Construction. At the time of the deal, both Kajun Kettle and Diversified Construction allegedly provided financing invoice to Leaf Capital, which now claims it has not been paid back for the loan.
The defendants are accused of breach of contract.
The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Thomas J. Lutkewitte of Favret, Demarest, Russo, Lutkewitte & Schaumberg in New Orleans.
The case has been assigned to Division J Judge Stephen C. Grefer.
