GRETNA — A man claims that his car was struck by a driver who then allegedly fled the scene.

Walter Nelson filed a suit on Feb. 23 in the 24th Judicial District Court against J. Hollis Transportation LLC, alleging negligence.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that allegedly took place on April 20 while he was driving on North Claiborne Avenue. The suit claims that the defendant's bus, which was being operated by an unknown man, struck the plaintiff's vehicle and knocked down a city light pole. The unknown man allegedly fled the scene.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Connie P. Trieu in Gretna.

The case has been assigned to Division G Judge E. Adrian Adams.
