NEW ORLEANS – A woman claims that she was injured when she fell into a concealed culvert.
Alexa Salomone filed a lawsuit February 24 against Anne Jordan Blanton and QBE Americas Inc in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that allegedly took place on March 10, 2017 when she was at the defendant's house on 2351 Magazine St. The suit states that the plaintiff was directed to walk to the back of the house, but was not told about a culvert that was not easily visible. As a result, the plaintiff allegedly was injured when she accidentally stepped into the culvert.
The defendant is accused of negligence.
The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Louis L. Gertler of the Gertler Law Firm LLP in New Orleans.
The case has been assigned to Division F Judge Christopher J. Bruno.
