University of Louisiana at Lafayette is seeking more than $3,000

GRETNA — A university is seeking over $3,000, claiming that a student never paid it.

The University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors through the University of Louisiana at Lafayette filed a suit on March 5 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Jennifer C. Jeanmard, alleging an open account.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an open account, claiming that the defendant was negligent in paying off the balance of $3,371.25 plus interest.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Amy D. Richard of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division B Judge Cornelius E. Regan.
