ASI Lloyds Insurance Company claims that an appliance malfunctioned

GRETNA — An insurance company is seeking damages after an appliance allegedly malfunctioned.

ASI Lloyds Insurance Company filed a suit on March 8 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Haier U.S. Appliance Solutions Inc. and Elbi of America Inc., alleging negligence.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that allegedly took place on April 7 when the plaintiff allegedly discovered that its GE Appliance allegedly had leaked water on the floor. The suit claims that the defendants failed to warn the plaintiff about of the potential for damages and offer compensation for the damages allegedly caused by the appliance.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Levin Law Offices and Richard B. Levin in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division B Judge Cornelius E. Regan.

The 24th Judicial District Court case number 781402.
