University of New Orleans seeks more than $4,500 from former student

NEW ORLEANS – A university is seeking damages for sums due.

The University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors through University of New Orleans filed a lawsuit Jan. 8 against Aditya Pant in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging sums due.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an open account in the balance of $4,552.50 plus interest, claiming that the defendant was negligent in paying off the balance owed.

The defendant is accused of open account.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Kaila Hutchison of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division B Judge Rachael Johnson.

The Orleans Parish Civil District Court Case No. is 2018-181.
