Man claims he was caused to slip and fall in casino bathroom

GRETNA – A man claims that he was caused to slip and fall in a bathroom at a casino.

Philip A. Franks and Sharlene Peyton filed a suit March 13 against Louisiana-I Gaming; A Louisiana Partnership in Commendam, dba Boomtown Casino New Orleans; John Doe, employee; and ABC Insurance Co. in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging negligence.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident which took place on Nov. 16, 2017. The suit states that the defendant was negligent, and that the bathroom floor was left wet, causing the plaintiff to slip and fall.

The defendant is accused of negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Bradley Egenberg in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division N Judge Stephen Enright Jr.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case No. is 781512.
