A woman accuses the City of Kenner of negligence

GRETNA — A woman is seeking damages stemming from a car accident.

Nidia Sanchez filed a suit on March 20 in the 24th Judicial District Court against the City of Kenner, Mayor E. "Ben" Zhan III, the Kenner Police Department, Chief of Police Michael J. Glaser and Brian Kahrs, alleging negligence.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages, claiming that she was driving her Nissan on March 25, 2017 when Kahrs' vehicle allegedly struck her car, which allegedly caused her and her car to sustain damages. The car that Kahrs was driving allegedly was owned by the Kenner Police Department.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Cesar Vazquez in Kenner.

The case has been assigned to Division P Judge Lee V. Faulkner Jr.

The 24th Judicial District Court case number 781793.
