A woman claims that she tripped and fell in a pothole in a Sears parking lot

GRETNA — A woman claims that she fell in the parking lot of a Sears store.

Rhonda Christopher filed a suit on March 23 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Sears Roebuck & Co., alleging negligence.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that allegedly took place on March 25, 2017 when she allegedly was at a Sears store in Metairie. The plaintiff allegedly was caused to trip and fall when she stepped into a pothole in the parking lot.

The defendant is accused of negligence due to allegedly failing to warn of the danger or fix the pothole.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Paul C. Fleming Jr. in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division G Judge E. Adrian Adams.

The 24th Judicial District Court case number 781941.
