Northwestern State University claims that it is owed more than $1,200

NEW ORLEANS — A university is seeking more than $1,300.

The University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors through Northwestern State University filed a lawsuit on March 23 in Orleans Parish Civil District Court against Ashley M. Johnese, alleging an open account.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an open account in the balance of $1,318.73 plus interest, claiming that the defendant failed to pay the balance owed.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Amy D. Richard of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division E Judge Clare Jupiter.
