Former student allegedly owes University of New Orleans more than $5,000

NEW ORLEANS – A university is seeking more than $5,000.

The University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors through the University of New Orleans filed a lawsuit on March 29 against Kali Sue Ann Griffith in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging sums due.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for sums due in the balance of $5,174.30 plus interest, claiming that the defendant was negligent in paying off the balance due. 

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Amy D. Richard of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Paulette R. Irons.
