Man claims he was attacked by gas station's employee

GRETNA – A man claims that he was injured in a physical assault at a gas station.

Corey Davis filed a suit April 2 against Mohammed M. Karrem; Pelican Quick Mart LLC, dba Pelican Food Mart; and XYZ Insurance Co. in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging negligence and assault.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on May 23, 2017 when the plaintiff was caused injury when he was caused to fall to the ground at a gas station and was then allegedly attacked by employees of the defendant over a misunderstanding.

The defendant is accused of negligence and assault.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Lillian Thornton in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division H Judge Glenn Ansardi.
