Man claims item fell on his foot in a Walmart

GRETNA – A man is seeking damages after an item fell on his foot in a Walmart.

Miguel A. Giron Romero filed a suit April 5 against Walmart Inc. and National Union Fire Insurance Co. of Pittsburgh in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging negligence.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages from an injury suffered at the Walmart on 300 W. Esplanade Ave. in Kenner. The plaintiff claims his foot was injured when an item fell from the basket and onto his foot.

The defendant is accused of negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by LaClaire Matthews of the Law Office of Miguel Elias in Kenner.

The case has been assigned to Division O Judge Danyelle Taylor.
