City of Kenner is named in lawsuit

GRETNA – A pile-driving company claims it is owed for money it overpaid.

Crescent Foundations LLC filed a suit April 9 against the City of Kenner in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging breach of contract.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is licensed to do business in Kenner, but the city has, against regulations, charged the plaintiff more money than it is legally allowed for doing business in the city. The plaintiff is seeking reimbursement for overpayments.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Paula Carriere of Favret, Carriere, Cronvich LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division D Judge Scott Schlegel.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case No. is 782543.
