Lawsuit claims uninsured driver acted negligently

GRETNA – A company is seeking damages after one of its trucks was run off the road by an allegedly negligent driver.

Imperium Insurance Co. and Insulation Technologies Inc filed a suit April 12 against Michael J. Taylor in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging negligence.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place when the plaintiff was caused to lose control of his vehicle due to the defendant's negligence, causing the plaintiff to be run off the road, overturn and strike a culvert. The suit claims the plaintiff was injured and the defendant was found without any proof of insurance.

The defendant is accused of negligence and reckless driving.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. 

The case has been assigned to Division B Judge Cornelius E. Regan.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case No. is 782599.
