Louisiana State University claims that former student owes it more than $5,000

NEW ORLEANS — A university is seeking more than $5,000 from a former student.

The Louisiana State University Board of Supervisors through Louisiana State University filed a lawsuit on April 16 in Orleans Parish Civil District Court against Jonathan Minh Nguyen, alleging an open account.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking $5,029.50 in debt, plus interest, that the defendant allegedly accumulated while attending Louisiana State University.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney's fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Kaila M. Hutchison of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division N Judge Ethel S. Julien.
