Louisiana Workforce Commission and Chateau De Notre Dame accused of wrongfully denying unemployment benefits

GRETNA — A woman claims that she was wrongfully denied unemployment benefits by her former employer.

Caroline R. Ricard filed a suit on April 25 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Ava Dejoie, the Louisiana Workforce Commission and Chateau De Notre Dame d/b/a Our Lady of Wisdom Health Care Center, alleging denial of unemployment benefits.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages, claiming that she was denied unemployment benefits by the defendants.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney's fees and court costs. The plaintiff is representing herself.

The case has been assigned to Division N Judge Stephen D. Enright Jr.
