A man seeks damages after allegedly tripping and falling at a Walmart

GRETNA — A man claims that he was caused to trip and fall at a Walmart store.

Evariste Roy filed a suit on April 25 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Walmart, alleging negligence.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that allegedly took place on May 3, 2017 when he allegedy was caused to trip and fall on a rug that had been improperly placed on the ground.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney's fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by V. Jacob Garbin of the Garbin Law Firm in Gretna.

The case has been assigned to Division L Judge Donald A. Rowan Jr.

The 24th Judicial District Court case number 783132.
