A woman claims that her child was injured after allegedly falling in Tulane Lakeside Hospital's parking lot

GRETNA — A woman is seeking damages after her minor child allegedly fell in a hospital parking lot.

Nancy Beilman, individually and on behalf of her minor child, Emma Dufrene, filed a suit on May 3 in the 24th Judicial District Court against University Healthcare System LLC d/b/a Tulane Lakeside Hospital, alleging negligence.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that allegedly took place on May 25 when Dufrene allegedly was caused to trip in a hole in the defendant's parking lot, which allegedly resulted in physical injuries.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney's fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Charles M. Thomas of Huber, Slack, Thomas & Marcelle LLP in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division H Judge Glenn B. Ansardi.

The 24th Judicial District Court case number 783419.
