A woman is seeking damages after she allegedly fell at a Dillard's department store

GRETNA — A woman claims that she slipped and fell at a Dillard's department store.

Shelita Davis filed a suit on April 30 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Dillard Department Stores Inc., two unnamed employees and XYZ Insurance Company, alleging negligence.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that allegedly took place on April 28, 2017. The plaintiff claims that she slipped and fell on a substance that allegedly was left on the floor of the store.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney's fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Michael C. Darnell of Murray, Darnell & Associates LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division B Judge Cornelius E. Regan.
