610 Baronne St. LLC accused of negligence after man allegedly wedges foot in water-damaged carpet

NEW ORLEANS — A man is seeking damages after he allegedly wedged his foot into water-damaged carpet.

Cedric Patin filed a lawsuit on May 14 in Orleans Parish Civil District Court against 610 Baronne St. LLC and Nationwide General Insurance Company, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that allegedly took place on June 20 when he was a tenant at 610 Baronne St. The suit claims that the plaintiff was injured when his foot allegedly became wedged in loose carpet, which allegedly had been damaged by water.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney's fees and appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Pierre F. Gaudin of Gaudin and Gaudin in Gretna.

The case has been assigned to Division N Judge Ethel S. Julien.
