Woman claims that she tripped and fell at Walgreens store

GRETNA — A woman claims that she was injured at a Walgreens store.

Gail T. Veters filed a suit on May 16 against Walgreen Louisiana Co. Inc., Divisions Inc. and SourceOne Building Maintenance Inc. in the 24th Judicial District Court, alleging negligence.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that allegedly took place on July 22, 2017 when she was at a Walgreens store located at 4545 West Esplanade Ave. in Metairie. The plaintiff claims that she was caused to trip and fall on a threshold when leaving the store.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney's fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Irving J. Warshauer of Gainsburgh, Benjamin, David, Meunier & Warshauer LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division D Judge Scott U. Schlegel.
