Bistreaux at the Bank claims that check for nearly $1,500 bounced

NEW ORLEANS — A company and an individual are seeking damages, claiming that a payment bounced.

Downtown Calico LLC d/b/a Bistreaux at the Bank and Lisa Tanet filed a lawsuit on May 15 in Orleans Parish Civil District Court against John Berry, Maria Berry, their unknown son and Trinity Sports Group a/k/a TSG, alleging an open account.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs are seeking damages for a bounced check in the amount of $1,490, plus interest, claiming that the defendants failed to have the necessary funds available to pay them for the services rendered.

The plaintiffs seek all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney's fees and appropriate relief. The plaintiffs are represented by attorney Roderick C. Patrick in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division N Judge Stephen D. Enright Jr.

Orleans Parish Civil District Court case number 2018-4820.
