A woman claims that she slipped and fell at a T.J. Maxx store

NEW ORLEANS — A woman is seeking damages after she allegedly slipped and fell at a T.J. Maxx store.

Deborah Parker filed a lawsuit on May 22 against TJX Companies, Magnolia Market Place LLC and Zurich American Insurance Co. in Orleans Parish Civil District Court, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that allegedly took place on June 5 when she allegedly slipped and fell in a puddle of water at a T.J. Maxx store.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney's fees and appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by Justin M. Chopin of the Chopin Law Firm LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division C Judge Sidney H. Cates IV.
