Louisiana disaster recovery unit seeks past-due payments, alleges misappropriation

GRETNA – A disaster recovery unit claims that it is owed $140,000 by a customer.

The State of Louisiana Division of Administration, Office of Community Development, Disaster Recovery Unit filed a lawsuit June 7 against Moran Robertson II in the 24th Judicial District Court.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for misappropriated sums, with a balance of $140,000, alleging that the defendant failed to use the money for the appropriate task and has failed to pay off the overdue balance.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney's fees and court costs. It is represented by Mary Catherine Cali of Shows, Cali & Walsh LLP in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division L Judge Donald Rowan Jr.
