Hancock Whitney Bank looks to recover nearly $400,000 in loan payments

GRETNA – A bank is seeking payment of nearly $400,000 in principal and interest allegedly owed on loans.

Hancock Whitney Bank filed a lawsuit June 8 against Sigma Risk Management Consulting LLC and Christopher T. Thomas in the 24th Judicial District Court.

According to the lawsuit, Sigma Risk and Whitney owe $293,687.15 in principal and $10,915.37 in interest on one loan and $84,751.46 in principal and $1,790.28 in interest on a second loan. The plaintiff alleges the defendants also owe $842.61 in late charges.

The plaintiff is seeking payment of all reasonable sums due, plus attorney's fees and court costs. It is represented by William Finn of Carver, Darden, Koretzky, Tessier, Finn, Blossman & Areaux LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Nancy Miller.
