NEW ORLEANS – A community college is seeking more than $700 in sums due.
The Louisiana Community and Technical College System through Delgado Community College filed a lawsuit June 11 against Betty Jean Burbank in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging open account.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an open account in the balance of $727 plus interest of more than 33 percent, claiming that the defendant has failed to pay off the balance due.
The defendant is accused of open account.
The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Scott Smith Jr. of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.
The case has been assigned to Division G Judge E. Adrian Adams.
