Community college claims former student owes more than $1,000

NEW ORLEANS – A community college is seeking damages of more than $1,000.

Louisiana Community and Technical College Stem through Delgado Community College filed a lawsuit June 13 against Kassandra Paige in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging open account.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an open account in the balance of $1,059.14 plus interest, claiming that the defendant failed to pay off the sums due.

The defendant is accused of open account.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorneys Kaila Hutchison of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division E Judge Clare Jupiter.

The Orleans Parish Civil District Court Case No. is 18-5871.
