Man sues Wendy's over hair found in his Frosty

GRETNA – A man claims he was served contaminated food in a Wendy's.

Van Rodney filed a suit June 18 against Haza Foods of Louisiana LLC, dba Wendy's Restaurant No. 00001587; John Doe, manager/employee; and XYZ Insurance Co. in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging negligence.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on June 17, 2017 when the plaintiff was eating at the defendant's property. The plaintiff found there was hair in his Frosty and claims that he was caused damages from the contaminant in the food.

The defendant is accused of negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Michael Ginart Jr. of the Law Offices of Michael C. Ginart Jr. & Associates LLC in Chalmette.

The case has been assigned to Division C Judge June Berry Darensburg.
