GRETNA – A man claims that the driver of a vehicle owned by HD Electric LLC ran him over when he was walking near an intersection and then fled the scene of the accident.
Darren Broussard filed a lawsuit May 21 against Patrick Hodge, HD Electric LLC and Patrick M. Hodge Jr. in the 24th Judicial District Court, alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that allegedly took place on June 30, 2017 when the defendant negligently struck the plaintiff while walking. The defendant then fled the scene.
The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney's fees and court costs. He is represented by Jason Foote of the Law Offices of Jason P. Foote in Metairie.
The case has been assigned to Division F Judge Michael Mentz.
